2 Dead Gary's - Pre-Event
[The waves of Ash's emotion bubble, roil, and crash across the murmur in a more frantic and disjointed feeling than the last time. When she speaks up she sounds dazed and tired, but she tries to force that down as much as she can.]
Yeh. s'ti hu Hsa
[Okay. That came out backwards. Cool and normal. Don't mind her. She gives her head a shake.]
So about those subway tunnels. Ozpin and I went down to investigate- And I think we can safely say Don't go down there. They're infested with hosts- Not safe.
We managed to get out of there- I might have gotten a little beat up, but we got out.
[She might be dealing with the after effects of that now.]
But since we got out I’ve been seeing flashes and memories from when… I guess when all this happened- I saw flashes of so many different people, and they were all so scared- Then they looked up at the moon, and they started to change.
I don’t know if some of this is on the murmur- One of the messages I heard was the same as the one Jayce found - It kept repeating I am the teeth of god, I ma eht theeet fo dog…
[And the wave of her emotions suddenly rile up again. They buzz like that for a moment, and there's a sensation like they're being soothed, or even muffled.
After a moment a different voice cuts in: Ozpin. He sounds weary, slightly strained, but his words come through steady and clear. ]
... As Ash said, the unground areas are extremely dangerous. The hosts in the subway stations awoke before we traveled more than a few meters from the stairs. They were single-minded in their pursuit of us, and there was no clear limit to their numbers.
I can't recommend that anyone else venture into the subway. But for whoever inevitably chooses to explore them regardless, know that the hosts did stop pursuing us after we retreated back up the stairs.
[OOC: The vision Ash saw can be found if people go searching through the murmur.here. Note ooc chatter about elements of succumbence and hosts if they go looking for it.]

Did anyone check you after? [ he huffs, clicks his teeth, thinks for a moment— ] Can you write down what you were feeling?
[ one will find that he's not spurred by revulsion or rejection whilst questioning her— it's a mixed bag of fear, curiosity and concern. ]
Cw: Mentions of blood, vomit, organ ejection.
Ozpin totally checked me after. He left me with-
Ritz crackers, which are super stale by the way, and a can of tomato soup.
[Ash feels a little better knowing she’s not getting judged too heavily for this.]
Uh sure. I can do that. I don’t know what the big deal is though. This has nothing on eating some Snake Flakes on my home. My eyes aren’t even bleeding, and I haven’t vomited up a single kidney!
[One might think she’s joking, but the message comes across totally serious.]
Do you want me to write it on a piece of paper? Or like on here like the other folks did?
no subject
However you can.
no subject
Sure... Let's try it like this.
[And there's a feeling of effort for Ash to get this to work. Forming a hand writing in a dark tome, with bone pen, with bloody ink. It's very moody.]
Okay. So we had like
- Head felt a little fuzzy.
- A few cuts and scrapes from what I got tackled by them.
- The cuts and scrapes get a little itchy sometimes.
- but our blood made the flowers grow
- Not sure if they itchiness is something to be worried about or it's just because the bandages we have here are ancient.
- The weird backwards talk.
- will you let me be the last serepentian
- It kind of comes and goes.
- Oh. And the weird talk from the journal entry you- err Jayce had found. The whole I am the Teeth of God i am the teeth of god i am the teeth of god That stuff has been happening.

[ Jayce switches to something quieter— makes the flow of thinking and sending things more fluid. He takes what he reads and cross references the information with what he was experiencing (itchiness), and what he'd felt in the dreamscape.
Something also dawns on him, and it could be nothing, but— ]
How did you know my name was Jayce?
no subject
…Did you not tell me the last we talked?
[This did not happen.]
no subject
no subject
Okay. Who else was he talking to on there- oh!]
…Sharon?
[Please buy it, please buy it. Please ask no follow up questions.]

[ girl you're in the murmur he can sense your panic. ]
Why're you tense?
no subject
She’s not.]
Wouldn’t you be a little tense if you got attacked by weird zombie people and then someone started to interrogate you after?
no subject
Not like that— I'm not going to lock you up. [ it comes to jayce's attention that his innate curiosity and questioning, which is second nature, made him look more wary than what it really did. augh— ] —It wasn't my intention. I'm concerned for us, that includes you.
We need to know everything we can to prevent this from going any further.
no subject
...Right.
Look. I'm not trying to fight you on this either. I'm just... Trying to figure things out myself.
[And she is pretty terrified of becoming public enemy number one again. She's not sure how or when her mistakes on her own world are going to find their way here. But she's pretty confident they will.
But she sucks in a breath, and holds all that in.]
No one told me your name.
no subject
You have better chances with more numbers. [ and while knowing his name is off-putting, jayce thinks of something else. ] . . . There's only one other time that's happened to me.
no subject
[Her last time in a team had not ended up all that well for anyone involved.]
…And what was that like?
no subject
so, when did he know someon's name without ever hearing it? ]
It was aberrant. The name is "Sleep".
no subject
Yeah. Okay. That's kind of a good word for it. I guess I've been feeling a lot of that since I got put through the wringer.
[Why does that name feel familiar all the sudden.]
Would it be crazy if I said that one sounded like something I know too?
no subject
no subject
I don't- Really remember hearing it before you said it. But it feels familiar. Like I've known it my entire life.
no subject
[ which is alarming, but seeming universal for those arriving. more than that . . . then it's a call for concern. ]
Let's keep as many tabs on this as possible. For your sake as much as everyone else.
no subject
[There's a pause as something sort of dawns on her that she connects a dot or two.]
I guess especially if I'm not the only one remembering or knowing things that I didn't before.
[Because it would be one thing if it was just her.]
no subject
no subject
I guess.
You too?
fin!
[ and he's gone. ]
