[ The Murmur flares to life with a frantic energy despite the voice that comes over it being melodic and smooth without any urgency.
Aventurine has been looking at the moon daily trying to understand what it is about it that would prompt the warning he received through the murmur ever since it happened
With the moon dripping now, the snow captive mid-fall in stones and the animals all staring skyward, he immediately realizes that this is far more likely what that warning rule was about rather than in general.
Not that he thinks he needs to really truly bother telling the others the moon is looking extra fucked up and something is probably happening that they need to be concerned about, but he does want to share a warning about it since he has no idea of any of the others were around to listen during his brief conversation with Ash. ]
A new game's begun. For all those participating, you might find one of the supposedly non-negotiable rules obtained from local sources useful: "to gaze upon the moon is to die."
Who knows how long you have to do so for it to take effect, but there's no gain that we know of for finding out. So ...
Do gaze responsibly.

[It is brutal! But also he's pretty glad he heard this message before he started looking at stuff because it'd be really hard not to look at that thing, no matter what he might have heard once.]
We need a science guy who can do it for us and then we'll know how much is okay.
no subject
Do we have any scientists? I haven't managed to learn about everyone yet.
no subject
[They're pretty similar, probably, so a science guy can probably do the math stuff and the other way around.]
So if there's one, maybe there's more, and they can get together and figure all this out.

Well.
It definitely looks like an anomaly.
[ So deadpan. ]
no subject
...It looks like a lot of other things, too.
Wondering what happens next if this is actually reoccurring. Any of those excerpts you and Ash were piecing together from others suggest what actually happened during the last one?
no subject
[ He takes a moment to revisit the memories, pull on the threads, and try to hear them all again. ]
It's not definitive, but I'd put what Ash found first.
This, twenty-eight days after. This, sixty-nine days after.
And then this, seventy-five days after -- so clearly everyone didn't...succumb? Go crazy? I don't know -- at the same rate.
But I can't place everything. This and this I'm not sure where to place.
This seems like it should go near the end, though.

I have a little bit too, about the lunar anomaly.

I saw something like those. Some scientific stuff I don't really understand.

A better idea: don't fucking look at the moon at all.

[ but he won't cry if anyone wants to be a guinea pig for everyone, so long as they report the results to benefit everyone else for doing something so stupid?? ]
It's quite distracting up there, though, so I thought gentler words of caution would make less people panic.

isnt he sooo glad to have made this friend

no subject
Not directly-
I saw through someone else's eyes.
I heard a voice. It coursed through my being.
It said esiR.
