I believe I've discovered something interesting.

I'm not sure how many others have been experiencing unusually high arousal lately, but I'm given to believe that it's at least a few! I'm happy to report that having sex with someone does alleviate that. It seems to make it easier to control any strange abilities, as well. At least, it did for me.

However, there are some...hm, side-effects, I suppose? The things we can do with this psychic network, where we share thoughts, feelings, experiences... A sexual encounter with someone results in a persistent connection of that nature. You could share a lot with them that you didn't intend to, particularly during the act.

I know that's the sort of thing that most people wouldn't want to be surprised by, so I thought it might be wise to share the pattern I've observed.

There is that usual river rush of emotion that represents Ash. It takes all that information in. But as it dawns on her that getting too close can reveal and share certain thoughts, feelings, and experiences there is a noticeable pull back from the murmur. That flow of emotions is receding and trying to find another route to go down.

She likes everyone here well enough. But there are a lot of things she's still holding close to the chest. She's shared more with Kalmiya than she has with others, but she's still scared to go beyond that.

It sure would be good if this wasn't happening over something that shares and broadcasts emotions. Sure would be weird if someone if someone didn't actually say something to go along with them.]

For starters, not trusting anyone you end up connected to makes them extremely easy to break. Seems like they can form involuntarily even with people you don't know, but if they're not important to you, you can sever it with little effort or they'll break apart on their own. Basically just will the connection to cut.
